EMV L3 Certification for Feitian Terminals

L3 campaigns on Feitian payment terminals, run on in-house UL Brand Test Tool and FIME toolsets — on our schedule, not a queued lab's.

Platform Notes

Broad Scheme Coverage at the Hardware Level

Feitian's terminal hardware carries certification marks for a wider set of schemes than most families we work with — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB and UnionPay are all represented across the range. That breadth is a hardware fact, not a shortcut: our L3 campaigns are still scoped to whichever schemes a specific deployment actually needs, rather than testing everything the terminal is theoretically capable of.

Some Feitian models add fingerprint biometric hardware alongside the standard contact and contactless interfaces. The EMV L3 test scope doesn't change because of it, but where biometric authentication sits in the transaction flow gets confirmed during scoping, so it doesn't interfere with the PIN or signature paths under test.

We build POS payment applications for Feitian terminals as well as certifying them, so a defect found mid-campaign goes back to the same team that can fix it.

FAQ

Feitian L3 Certification, Explained

What schemes do you certify Feitian terminals against?
Visa, Mastercard and Amex. Feitian's own hardware carries certification marks for a wider set of schemes than most terminal families we work with, including Discover, JCB and UnionPay — our campaigns are scoped to the schemes a given deployment actually needs.
Do Feitian terminals with biometric hardware need a different certification approach?
Some Feitian models add fingerprint biometric hardware alongside the standard EMV interface. The EMV L3 test scope itself doesn't change, but where biometric authentication sits in the transaction flow is confirmed during scoping so it doesn't interfere with PIN or signature paths being tested.
Do you also build the payment application, or only certify it?
Both. We build POS payment applications for Feitian terminals and run L3 certification in-house, so a defect found during testing goes back to the same team that can fix it — not a different vendor.
